Walberswick Sunset
Part of the Landscape Workshop

£40.00

Walberswick Sunset – Part of the landscape workshop – Saturday 31st July 6pm – 9pm

Adventures in seeing and connecting with the landscape. The aim of the course is to improve your photography skills whilst developing an understanding and connection with the landscape. You will be encouraged to move away from the pre planned classic view and focus more on observation and forging a connection with the landscape around you.

This 3 hour workshop centres around the coastal village of Walberswick with its characterful black beach huts, its sand dunes and sea lavender covered saltmarsh. We will be working along the river, around the saltmarsh and on the beach and will hopefully have the opportunity to capture a sunset at the end of the session.

This workshop aims to help you look for images in a landscape that could be considered unremarkable. You will be encouraged to move away from the pre planned classic view with more focus being placed on observation and forging a connection with the natural world.

This workshop is part of a new workshop / self study course which looks at a more immersive form of landscape photography. Alongside the 3 hour group session each participant will receive a free workbook which can be used afterwards to continue exploring the Suffolk landscape. The workbook features a series of exercises designed to promote a more thoughtful approach to landscape photography and looks at how we can use this to engage more fully with the natural world. Find out more about the workbook here

Part of the landscape workshops are all slightly different and explore some of Suffolks most varied habitats many of which are often overlooked photographically. You are welcome to sign up to more than one session as each is designed to explore a different habitat.

What is included:

3 hours of tuition in Walberswick.
