Suffolk Coast, Sunrise and Long Exposure Workshop

Friday 6th September 5.30am – 11.00am plus an optional Zoom session on Thursday 12th September to discuss images and post processing.

Join me for a sunrise photography workshop exploring the coastal landscapes at Shingle Street, East Lane at Bawdsey and Bawdsey Quay. The workshop will start with a sunrise at Shingle Street followed by some long exposure photography at East Lane, Bawdsey. We will finish at Bawdsey Quay with some shots across the river and refreshments (not included in the price) at the Boathouse Cafe.

We will cover:

How to shoot a sunrise (weather permitting), using filters and / or bracketing exposures.

Long exposure photography and the creative use of shutter speed to capture movement in water.

Composition and how to make the best of the available light.

 The workshop includes:

A full set of course notes sent via email before the workshop

6  hours of tuition in three separate coastal locations

The option to borrow a tripod and filters if required

A 1.5 hour zoom session where we will discuss the images made in the field and ways we could approach processing them using Lightroom and Photoshop.
