Landguard Point Group Workshop.
Sunset and night photography workshop – Saturday 9th November 3pm – 6pm
Join me for a 3 hour photography workshop on Landguard Point. During this workshop we will explore the art of composition and “seeing and image”, taking in the sunset (weather permitting) and staying after dark for some night photography.
For this workshop you will need your camera, a tripod and a cable release (or use your cameras self timer). You may also want to bring a torch. If you have graduated filters these will be useful for sunset work. I have some Lee filters that can be borrowed during the workshop if desired.
Landguard Point is a fascinating place to explore. Dominated by views of the docks it is well light and perfect for night time photography with great views across the harbour towards the docks and Harwich beyond.
During this workshop we will be exploring the beach starting at the viewpoint overlooking the docks and taking in a sunset, weather permitting. We will then be shooting images after dark of the docks, looking at the best camera settings for night photography.
The Landguard Point Group Workshop is a 3 hour workshop and includes a printed handout and notes.
Participants are invited to submit their favourite images for comments and feedback after the workshop.
This workshop is being run in conjunction with my new book “Photographing the Suffolk Coast” which can be purchased here >
This project has been supported by the Amenity and Accessibility Fund administered by the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB
