Inspired by the sea, North Norfolk Coast
Saturday 14th October 7.00am – 5pm
Join me for a photography workshop where we will explore some different styles of coastal photography taking inspiration from the work of other renowned coastal photographers. We will be exploring the rhythms of nature using movement in water, marram grasses on the dunes and light. We will be looking at patterns in nature, learning to see in black and white and capturing intimate landscapes using the colourful geology at Hunstanton.
By looking at other photographers work we will explore various styles of coastal photography and consider our approach to style and vision as we try to apply certain photographic methods to our image making.
The workshop will begin at Old Hunstanton and from there we will visit Holme Dunes and beach and Brancaster.
We will cover:
Our approach to coastal photography – drawing on inspiration from other renowned photographers we will explore:
rhythms in nature, patterns, texture and movement in water and marram grass.
We will also be looking at intimate landscapes focusing on the colourful geology at Hunstanton.
We will be working with long exposures and seeing how movement can be used creatively in our images.
The workshop will follow with a 1 hours Zoom session on Tuesday 7th November at 7pm where we can discuss the images that we made on the workshop.
There will be 3 challenges to complete during the course of the day and the session will finish with a sunset shoot.
The workshop includes:
A full set of course notes sent via email before the workshop
7 hours of tuition in three separate coastal locations
A 1 hour Zoom session to discuss the images that we made.
