River Deben Workshop
November Photography Tuition

£110.00

River Deben Group Workshop

Saturday 13th November 2021 6.30am – 1pm

Join me for 6.5 hours of photography tuition exploring the beautiful and varied landscapes of the River Deben

We will be photographing some of the varied landscapes found along this waterway. The workshop will start with a sunrise at Woodbridge with its bustling waterfront, will then take in the tranquil location of Ramsholt before finishing at Bawdsey Quay where you will have the opportunity to practice some long exposure photography.

During the workshop we will explore the art of making a photograph and will cover technical aspects (shooting mode, choice of aperture, focusing, exposure) as well as composition (identifying a subject, finding a viewpoint, working with supporting elements and using lines, shapes, patterns and textures  to create depth and interest).

We will look at composition in the wider landscape and also in more detailed scenes.

There will also be the opportunity to try long exposure photography for those wishing to master this creative technique.

This 6.5 hour workshop costs £110 and includes course notes.

About

The River Deben has some of the most beautiful scenery in Suffolk and on this workshop I will guide you around some of my favourite locations along its banks.

We will start the day in Woodbridge with a sunrise (hopefully) over the Tide Mill. We will also be looking at composition and ‘seeing’ an image. We will then capture the tranquil riverside setting of Ramsholt before finishing at Bawdsey quay with some long exposure photography.

What’s included

The River Deben Workshop includes:

6.5 hours of tuition. The maximum group size is 4 people

A full set of printed course notes to take home

Email critique of images after the session.
