Bawdsey  – Long exposure and sunset workshop

Saturday 4th September 4.30pm – 7.30pm

Join me for a late afternoon group workshop on Bawdsey Quay exploring the art of long exposure photography. The workshop will end with a sunset shoot across the river. If conditions are looking good we will stay until the sun sets at 7.45pm. For long exposure photography a range of Lee filters are available to borrow along with filter holders and adaptor rings. Please ask when booking.

Bawdsey Quay lies at the mouth of the River Deben and is a diverse landscape that has a lot to offer photographically in a relatively small area.

Bawdsey has a fascinating beach that is full of old wooden groynes, concrete and metal structures which all make good subjects for detail photography.  We will be using these for our long exposure work and will also be looking at capturing detail and creating intimate landscapes where small elements become the focal points.

This workshop is suitable for those who have some photography experience and are familiar with their camera controls. You will need a tripod and a remote timer and filters if you have them (if not I have a range of Lee filters that you are welcome to borrow – (please ask when booking)

What is included:

3 hours of tuition

the use of ND filters for long exposure techniques (if required)
